Four Decades of Hospitality.
One Family.
Since 1988, the Henry family has been welcoming guests like they’re part of our own. What started as a neighborhood restaurant has grown into one of New Jersey’s most trusted destinations for dining, weddings, and celebrations
A Legacy Earned
We didn’t walk into this business. We were built by it—one kitchen, one event, one relationship at a time.
This is our story.
1988 | The Beginning
John Henry’s Restaurant Opens John Henry Sr. and his sons, John Henry Jr. & Gary Henry, opened a neighborhood Seafood restaurant in the Italian-American section of Trenton, NJ - Chambersburg. The philosophy was simple: serve excellent food and treat every guest with the utmost respect and warmest hospitality. Quoted by the press as “The Best Seafood Restaurant in Mercer County” - they served new patrons and regulars for over two decades. Celebrations or just casual dinners. John Henry’s was the setting for guest’s most memorable night.
2000 | The Expansion
From the Restaurant to the Room As demand grew, John Henry Jr. took the operation offsite—catering large-scale events at legendary local venues like the Nottingham Firehouse Ballroom, the West Trenton Firehouse ballroom, and the Scottish Rite of Bordentown. Hosting Galas, Weddings ,and special events - these high-volume, high-stakes productions built the operational discipline most hospitality operators never develop and helped grow the John Henry’s reputation beyond just a restaurant.
2010 | A Home of Our Own
The Birth of The Stone Terrace The family finally found the perfect canvas: an estate that could house both the precision of our catering and the warmth of our hospitality. Originally the Italian-American Sportsmen Club, and later La Villa, the old-school heritage still lives within the walls of the building. The Stone Terrace was born, becoming the backdrop for thousands of weddings and the heartbeat of Hamilton’s celebratory life.
2010 – 2025 | Serving Hamilton & Beyond
Fifteen Years of Showing Up The Stone Terrace grew into one of Mercer County's most established hospitality landmarks—a home for weddings, banquets, and a neighborhood restaurant with regulars who have been coming for decades. We proved that you can handle high volume without sacrificing the soul of the service. Through every shift, family remained the heartbeat of the operation.
Today | The Next Generation
Heritage Meets Horizon Today, the legacy continues with a new energy. We’re investing in the foundation with renovations to better serve our guests. While also refining the details and doubling down on what makes us different: our family. With the next generation of the Henry’s in the mix - the young blood is bringing the tried & true ways of serving into a brand new era. Whether you’re a lifelong regular or a first-time guest, you aren't just walking into a venue—you're walking into our home.

Formally trained at the Institute of Culinary Education, seasoned in NYC hospitality, and sharpened by a career operating large-scale marketing programs at AMEX, he founded Sprezzatura before turning his full attention to what The Stone Terrace becomes next. He’s here to formalize it, scale it, and carry it into its next generation.
Managing Partner, CEO
Victoria Rae Henry
Victoria brings a sharp creative eye shaped by years working across major brands in NYC - including Bloomingdale’s, KITH, and Amazon - where she built expertise in brand strategy, content, and partnerships.
